Christian education is a high priority at Hope Lutheran. We believe that we are all called to grow in Christ and we look forward to learning more about Him together.
Sunday Bible Study
Bible Study for adults is held between the early and late service in the Fellowship Hall, from 9:15 to 10:15. Pastor Joel leads the class.
We gather our children from 9:15-10:15AM each Sunday in groups by age. They enjoy age-appropriate instructions and activities designed to teach them the Word of God, following the "Growing in Christ" curriculum of Concordia Publishing House. There is no registration required, and no cost to attend.
Confirmation is a two-year catechism class, based on Luther's Small Catechism. Students are of Junior High School age. Class meets weekly in the pastor's office for one hour (but if another time or place works better, the pastor is more than willing to accommodate that schedule).
At the conclusion of Confirmation Classes, students are able to examine themselves, confess their sins, profess the faith, recite the catechism, and receive Holy Communion.
For those who are unable to be physically present to hear them, we record each Sunday's sermon and make the most recent two sermons available on our Sermons page.
We invite you to view them as often as you wish!
Vacation Bible School
We bring out the best in fun crafts, stories, music, games, and a wide variety of other activities that grow our children's knowledge and love of our Lord and Savior, while also keeping the thrill of summer alive!
VBS occurs 9AM-12PM for one week during June, and children are grouped according to age. Preregistration is encouraged. On the last day of VBS, we hold a closing ceremony, followed by a fellowship lunch/picnic for all children, their parents, and VBS staff.
